WHAT ARE SOME OF THE EFFECTS TECHNOLOGY HAS ON STUDENTS?
Life for children before the boom of technology was much different from the lives of children today. Kids used to play outside, with friends, instead of online or through game consoles with digital personas from across the world. Children also weren't exposed to violence and explicit things at such an early age. There are also many positive things technology has brought into the lives of our youth such as creativity As you can see, we can find many positives and negatives about the effects of technology on our youth. Now that the world has entered what I like to call the "Digital Age", where technology is everywhere, life for our younger generations has been shaped like never before. Even before the age of 1, children are being exposed to technology on an everyday basis. On a daily basis, technology is shaping the lives of children as we know it, both positively and negatively. The most important thing for us to do as adults, parents, and most importantly educators, is to make sure that we are exposing children to the positive aspects of technology. By doing so we are preparing them for the real world in the 21st century. With that being said, it is also extremely important for students to know the history of technology and how far it has come for them to really appreciate its true value. Some of our very children in this generation will one day become the inventors who make history and change the face of technology for the next generation; but in order to get there, they must, first, understand technology's past.

- With all of the advances made in classroom technologies, do you think teachers will ever be replaced by computers? Why or why not?
- With the plethora of resources for reading available on the web such as e-books, online encyclopedias, library applications on mobile devices, and much more, is there still a need for actually books, and textbooks? Why or why not?
